Sirena Williams is an Assistant Coach at Tiffin University. She's directing her attention and energy toward the men's and women's cross country and mid-distance events.
Before coming to Tiffin, Williams was the Assistant Coach at Feather River College in Quincy, California. Williams was their main recruiter for the brand new Women's Cross Country and Track & Field programs. Prior to her collegiate coaching career, Williams was the Head Coach of South River HS boys and girls track & field teams were they broke 19 school records. The SRHS girl's team won the 2010 Indoor Regional Championship; first team title since 1983. Williams also produced five high school All-County Team Champions and 39 State Qualifiers (7 placed in the top 8 at the Maryland State Track & Field Championships), and 4 nationally ranked
athletes.
Before her success at SRHS, Williams spent four years at Suitland HS, as an assistant for the first three years and the Head Women's coach the fourth year. During her four years at SHS, she helped guide the boys program to four State Championship titles.
Williams started her track journey at Central High School in 1993. She was a four letter winner in the sport. By the end of her high school career, she was an 8-time Maryland State Champion, running events ranging from the short sprints to the hurdles. She made the All-County Team several times and was voted to the Washington Post's 1996-97 All-Met Track and Field Team. Williams was an integral part of CHS winning two Maryland State Championship in 1995 (Outdoor) and 1997 (Indoor). She then attended the University of Connecticut as a member of the track program on an athletic scholarship.
Williams holds USATF Level II Certification in Sprints, Hurdles, and Relays. Williams is also a USATFNC Certified Official specialized as a Starter.
Williams, a Maryland native, holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication Processes from the University of Connecticut in 2001. She is currently in pursuit of her MBA in Sports Management.
