For those who don't know, I moved to Tiffin, Ohio from Maryland last August. My mamma and brother still live near the nation's capital so I like keep up with the goings-on within the state. A couple of days ago, I was on one of the MD online newspapers and I came across this article about a Maryland resident receiving nearly $1 million in scholarship offers. I couldn't believe the headline, "Fort Washington resident receives nearly $1M in scholarship offers."
The 18 year old Briana Savage from Oxon Hill High School (I found out from my mother that we attend the same church) is receiving almost $1 million in scholarship offers to colleges and universities across the country. According to the article, she decided to attend the University of Southern California (USC) this fall and she's is going to major in bio medical engineering. The scholarship offerings totaled $916,948. She receiving a recurring $28,000 of annual scholarships from USC. USC out-of-state tuition and mandatory fees comes to about $42,800 a year, according the universities website.
Wow, what an amazing journey Briana Savage is going to have.
Great luck to her!!!
