Returning to one of the most sacred sites in the sport, the U.S. Olympic Team Trials will return in 2012 to Hayward Field, site of the '72, '76, '80 and '08 Olympic Trials. The country's most prestigious pre-Olympic event, the Olympic Trials is where the roster for Team USA will be selected for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Eugene has long been dubbed "Track Town, USA" for its rich track and field history and the community's appreciation of the sport.
The largest national championship track meet in the world, the U.S. Olympic Trials hosts more than 1,000 athletes as they compete for the right to represent Team USA at the Olympic Games.

Watch List: Adriane Blewitt-Wilson
Adriane Blewitt-Wilson was the strength and conditioning coach [and head throws coach] at Tiffin University for two years. She resigned from her position in 2011 to pursue being a professional thrower full-time (and she also got married). She left the Ohio area and relocated with her husband to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Blewitt-Wilson has been ranked in the top 10 in the US for women shot putters for the last 8 years, Blewitt competed at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Trials finishing 5th and 10th respectively.
Some of Blewitt-Wilson's athletic achievements:
She graduated from Ashland University with a degree in Physical Education, Health and a minor in Coaching. She is a 13-time NCAA Div. II All American with 7 National titles and 6 Runner Up honors in the shot put, discus, hammer, and weight throw. She was named GLIAC Athlete of the Meet and 2-time NCAA Athlete of the Year in her career. She is the former NCAA Div. II national record holder in the discus throw and current national record holder in the indoor and outdoor shot put. Blewitt continues to own the school records at Ashland University in the shot put and discus.
Blewitt-Wilson and 24 other women are scheduled to compete in the shot put on June 28 at 5:40pm (the 7th day of the trials). So if you get an opportunity, please watch and cheer for her and let's cross out fingers that this year is finally her year to make an Olympic appearance.
